This blog primarily focuses on Young Adult (YA) novels, but does reach into the realms of adult novels and nonfiction on occasion. If there is a story to be told, I'm open to the idea of reading it. My preferred genres are contemporary, romance, historical, fantasy, dystopian, and stories with touches of sci-fi or mystery. That being said, I do not read thrillers and cannot see that changing in the foreseeable future, but you never know.
To say I'm "reviewing" books is a strong term. In a sense I am because I'm saying what I like and what I don't, but mostly when I read a book, I then want to talk about it whether I liked it or not. This blog is a place for me to do that. So for lack of a better word, we'll say "review" when "ramble" is probably just as appropriate.
It is important to note that I do book reviewing for free. At this time, it is a hobby. Nobody pays me in any way, shape, or form to read the books that appear on this blog. All books reviewed come either from my personal collection or have been checked out from a library. If I review a book that I have received an ARC of or as the result of a contest from another blog, that will be noted in the review.
If you have a traditionally published book you would like me to review that fits the parameters of the blog, I'd be happy to consider it, though be warned that I will give my honest opinion. I do NOT review self-published or indie works. I cannot always promise a specific review by date, but always do my best to post around the time of publication. I can accept e-books (ePub or PDF formats only). Feel free to contact me via the email address listed on my Contact page.
All pictures of book covers are from Goodreads. All Where's Your Bookmark? videos are created by me using FinalCutPro X (older episodes were made with iMovie).
